Treasury Specialist with German

For our international client from construction & property industry, we are looking for Treasury Specialist, who will focus on managing the operational treasury function to a high professional standard. The position combines the operational and the longer term management of the Treasury function within company. Internal, and in particular, external credibility is of key importance in maintaining the confidence of the investors.

Treasury Specialist’s key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for forecast and plan for cash and debt management
  • Analyse working capital investment requirements
  • Perform periodic reviews and recommend improvements/changes
  • Interact with stakeholders to make sure the cash cycle is managed according to the agreed standards
  • Communicate policy changes
  • Provide financial advice on investments, loans, and liabilities
  • Manage compliance with the terms of the senior facilities agreements
  • Control the treasury operations for the group, arranging cash pools where appropriate, intra group funding facilities
  • Ensure that the group has an effective process to manage its day-to-day liquidity position
  • Oversee the Group’s relationships with syndicate banks and the management of local bank relationships where appropriate
  • Provide data and analysis with regard to the companies short, medium and longer term funding and compliance
  • Liaise with local finance staff in relation to cash flow, working capital and reporting matters
  • Assist with M&A transactions, including setting up new companies from financial perspective
  • Participate in cross-functional projects


 We are looking for you if you have:

  • Good understanding of accounting and also some knowledge of international tax
  • Hands on mentality and able to work independent
  • At least 3 years of experience in a treasury department
  • Financial graduate (Bachelor or Master), tax or treasury qualification
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work in a compliant international team
  • Experience in working across functions, business units and countries
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to influence the people in the organisation
  • Good IT skills – exposure to treasury and accounting systems, competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English and a good knowledge of German
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of accounting and knowledge of international tax
