Business Analyst (Data Modelling)

As we are starting a new and exciting project for Product Control we are searching for experienced Business Analyst with flair for financial data sourcing and modelling.  This role is for you if you are an enthusiastic, experienced, results-oriented Business Analyst ready to take on key responsibilities within the Finance Change division.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be a part of Data Sourcing and Modelling Stream. This stream is a crucial part of a large delivery that aims to strategically change existing Product Control IT infrastructure
• You will be working on end to end delivery of strategic solutions that will change IT landscape in Product Control. This involves being an interface between business functions and IT teams which require translation of requirements into tasks executable by IT teams.
• You will need to work on detailed analysis and documentation of the AS-IS state (via user interviews, workshops etc.) and process mapping with data flow diagrams as needed.
• You will input into solution design to define TO-BE state with a special focus on optimization of data sourcing interfaces and flexible data models optimized to support operational events and reporting requirements.
• You will work on aligning data to business data glossary (data catalogue) residing in Collibra.
• You will propose solutions on how data should be sourced and modelled in order to reach Target Operating Model for Product Control. This is achieved by defining conceptual/logical data models being documented as class diagrams in Sparx Enterprise Architect (or similar) and further on worked on with IT to translate them into entity diagrams explaining physical implementation.
• The job requires excellent communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders and multiple IT teams

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience of 4+ years as a Business Analyst interfacing business and IT stakeholders
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in English.
• Proven experience in participating projects that cover data sourcing and modelling activities
• Flair for data, documenting data feeds, flows and data dictionaries
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work on given task with minimum supervision
• Proficient user of MS Excel
• SQL programming to extract data for understanding and analysis (where, group by, having, joins, subqueries)
• Agile environment experience, Jira, Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect knowledge - as a big asset
