Chief Financial Officer

The general objectives of this function include the following:

  • Manage the company’s finances, including controlling, reporting, financial planning and accounting
  • Coordinate and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Budget planning, forecasting, cash and liquidity management
  • Ensure and develop further the sustainable relations to the external interfaces e. g. banks, tax advisors, auditors
  • Report financial results to the management board, preparing ad-hoc analyses
  • Manage and develop the IT / digitalization activities and strategy aligned with the business objectives
  • Optimization of the IT-infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and motivate the team to achieve the company’s objectives
  • Manage the HR processes such as salary payments and ad-ministration
  • Challenge current HR practices and proactively support the overall HR strategy
  • Comprehensive advice to the management along the employee lifecycle
  • Consult and support the management in anticipating and es-tablishing optimal organizational and functional structures

The ideal candidate profile:

  • University, MBA or equivalent (major in finance); preferably post graduate studies or adequate education
  • Minimum 5 years as Finance Manager with comparable responsibilities
  • Deep understanding of technology, previous experience in the field of digitalization
  • Experience with creation and efficient use of planning and controlling tools
  • Extensive knowledge of management and accounting
  • Up-to-date with latest trends in finance/controlling
  • Knowledge in the efficient use of IT systems, incl. SAP preferably
  • Solid background in finance administration, payroll and HR-management
  • Excellent command of the English and/or German language is a pre-requisite
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with experience of profession-alizing and improving financial disciplines, systems and pro-cesses including KPIs (within the finance and across business)
  • Being a proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, driven to build the business
  • Sense of ownership, high degree of initiative, commitment, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate teams to maximize results
  • Has strong negotiating and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel from time to time
