Global Data Steward (Manager) – Customer Master Data

As a Global Data Steward – Customer Master Data you will perform a key role in APTIV’s MDM team within GBS, enforcing enterprise  data standards and governance thereby ensuring that the organization has trusted and business ready Customer master data that is valid, accurate, and complete in order to support effective business processes and business decisions.
This position is responsible for the end to end MDM business processes for Customer Master data domain and assisting the Business Data Owner by handling the overall day-to-day management and tactical aspects of Customer Master Data Management utilizing industry best practices and their deep understanding of the Customer Master data domain.
 

Your Role:

  • Manage Data Governance process as applicable to the Customer Master data domain including policies, procedures, SOPs, data dictionary, business glossary, data standards including allowed values etc.

  • Serve as SME on Master Data projects or manage the Master Data scope on IT projects

  • Leading MDM workshops to engage key data stakeholders and gather a common understanding of Customer Master data domain across APTIV

  • Creating and designing the Customer Master data definitions, standds and policies

  • Creating and designing the standard business process around the creation and maintenance of Customer Master data

  • Design innovative and efficient master data solutions together with the impacted business unit / function and IT

  • Evaluate Customer master data related initiatives with different business stakeholders including the Sales function

  • Help implement solutions for all impacted processes and applications in relevant regions and business units

  • Responsible for issue resolution and root cause analysis (RCA) for Customer Master Data across all functional processes and IT systems

  • Work closely with the functional Global Process Owners (P2P, O2C, R2R) to ensure high quality master data is available for consumption by business processes

  • Identify opportunities/priorities to cleanse and harmonise Customer Master data across APTIV

Your Background:

(R – required or P - preferred)

  • (R) Modeling experience- Data, Process, Events, Objects

  • (R) 4+ years data quality management knowledge and experience

  • (R) 4-year degree or equivalent work experience in data related projects

  • (R) Excellent written and verbal communications skills including English. Able to communicate across multiple levels within a multi-national organization

  • (R) Requirements Analysis

  • (R) Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

  • (P) Experience in Sales & Distribution for SAP ECC & S/4 HANA

  • (P) 5+ years SAP ERP Customer Master data model knowledge

  • (P) Knowledge of SAP Information Steward, SAP MDG toolset
