General Manager

Responsibilities:

• Day to day running of the European Hub.
• Taking care for the safety and productivity of all associates employed on site.
• Building security.
• Ensuring all aspects of warehouse distribution is executed in line with customer and company requirements and within defined service level agreements.
• Taking care for the management of the Polish operational functions.
• Responsible for all safety and environmental and regulatory issues.
• Ensuring all defined key performance targets are met in line with the agreed budget.
• Fostering a can-do approach and continual improvement culture in all operational functions.
• Recommending and assisting in the development of policies and procedures and the implementation of them.
• Developing relationships with key stakeholders across all functions of the global business.
• Helping the business attain its operational and strategic goals in sustained profitable growth.
• Cooperating with the Vice President and other stakeholders on longer term strategic requirements.
• Cooperating with the HR Department
• Negotiating rates and contracts with local and international suppliers

Requirements:

• Experience in leading a warehouse with more than 25 associates
• A good knowledge of WMS systems and processes.
• Change management.
  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications which include Excel
• Can demonstrate an excellent track record in operational performance
• Excellent people management skills
• Good knowledge of Safety and employment law
• Experience of manufacturing in addition to distribution would be beneficial
• English - fluent
• Self-motivated, problem solver to meet the demands of some of the most respected and largest brands in the world
• Business Degree or equivalent
• Budget Management
• Experience in set up and transition of operational activities to a new site - nice to have
