Senior .Net Engineer & Team Lead
We are looking for a dedicated problem solver who wants to grow within Credit Suisse structures as a Senior Software Engineer in a .NET environment (80%) and a line manager (20%). In this role you will be able to build new and extend existing functionalities of Tax Claims Applications. Tax Claims is within the Tax Solutions Value Stream (approx. 100 people) within SUB Corporate Products & Operations IT.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
- Be responsible for high quality of the work products and a consistent end-to-end solution implementation.
- Act as senior technical engineer & advisor for the project and ensure compliance with IT standards & guidelines, adherence to application and technology related architectural standards and development policies.
- Perform design and implementation reviews to ensure architecture and application conforming to standards & guidelines.
- Collaborate with Zurich Development team as well as business partners from International Wealth Management and Tax Operations.
- Participate actively in development tasks: analyze and document business and technical requirements, participate in design decisions, design and code reviews, design and implement software components, prepare and execute unit, system and system integration tests, tech documentation of all delivered artifacts, analysis and fixing of defects and test environment issues, build the solution proposals from scratch and provide estimations.
As a line manager you will:
- Be responsible for local site management topics (like coordination, planning, approvals, trainings etc.).
- Act as workplace buddy to help with Onboarding of new joiners.
- Regular communication on various topics.
- Represent Tax Solutions Warsaw team in SUB IT Poland MC and also at IT Poland level on need basis.
- Support any physical or virtual site visits (Team and Senior Management).
- Take ownership and help towards objectives for SUB IT Poland.
- Assist and potentially lead/co-lead DevOps and Agile work streams, by driving the objectives, collaborating with communities within Poland and across other regions, and representation in IT Poland STC.

The Claims team is highly motivated, working in an agile (Scrum) mode, has 9 members, whereof 5 are in Poland. As a line manager you will be responsible for the whole Tax Solutions team in Warsaw, currently being 5 Credit Suisse employees and 12 external employees. You are a senior .NET engineer who has proven team lead experience or would like to grow into a junior management position.
- University degree or similar education preferably in information technology or information management.
- 5+ years of proven experience with implementation of large enterprise or e-business systems.
- 5+ years of proven experience in software development, preferably: .NET 4.5.2, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server 2014, Websphere MQ, Web API, Visual Studio 2017, web services, micro services, XML, SOAP, REST services, Azure Cloud, Enterprise Application Integration.
- Knowledge about how to write tests (Unit tests, Acceptance tests, etc.) and see true value in it.
- Experienced in using GIT.
- Results-oriented, hardworking individual with well-organized and structured approach, communicative, insistent.
- Show distinctive analytical thinking, dedication to your work, as well as high flexibility and genuine enthusiasm.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English.
An advantage would be:
- Experienced in DevOps: CI/CD, Pipelines/Docker etc.
- Java Script and Angular.
- Banking know-how in tax, namely about Tax Reclaim.
- Experience with agile methodologies (preferably Scrum).
- German language skills (writing and speaking).
