Regulatory Change Business Analyst

The IB Regulatory Change Team delivers financial regulation and business change programs across the Investment Banking division in EMEA and the Americas. Numerous regulators across the world are introducing provisions to improve transparency and reduce the risks associated with trading securities and OTC derivatives (e.g. MAR, MIFID, SBSR, EMIR, ESG) which affect the bank. The Regulatory Change function is high profile and strategically important to the bank as it ensures ongoing compliance with regulations as they are introduced and evolve over time.

A crucial part of our execution and delivery capability is to develop and expand the team of Business Analysts.

As part of the role, you will work with other experienced and knowledgeable Business Analysts and Project Managers. You will develop upon an already successful career to gain exposure to multiple areas of a leading investment bank.

This role will include the following:

  • Coordinating with business partners located in our offices in London, New York, and Zurich, including Business, Legal, Compliance, and IT Teams.
  • Performing Regulatory/Business Impact and gap assessments.
  • Capturing and documenting business requirements, working with IT and Business stakeholders to ensure requirements are correctly translated and implemented.
  • Assisting with UAT test scenarios/cases preparation.
  • Driving review and design of process change and control frameworks to implement non-IT change.
  • Creating key project documentation, including BRDs, PIDs, process and business flows, policies and procedures.
  • Training and guiding business partners to manage successful delivery and transitions to BAU.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of investment banking products systems and processes across the bank.

You offer:

  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry as a Business Analyst.
  • Working knowledge of investment banking products.
  • Awareness of Front-to-Back processing: client on-boarding, trading, clearing, settlement, financial accounting, risk.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience of requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English
  • Strong presentation and communication skills capable of conveying messages up to senior level.
