PDx - Model Based Systems Senior Engineer
The Model Based Systems Engineering Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer identifies gaps in the current development process and develops methods/tools that will ensure that the V&V Engineer and other functions driving verification and validation work can perform at their best. Proactively work to drive Systems Engineering implementation and adoption in the entire organization.He coordinates and develops processes, methods, tools and training around Product Approval, Verification, Validation, Simulation, Failure Mode analysis and Reliability in the context of Systems Engineering. Supports the transformation from physical to virtual testing while driving KPIs that enable the team to drive actions towards the end goals. Proactively work with different product groups and other organizations to ensure that all requirements are developed and linked to test cases and Test methods that will support project implementation and generate knowledge on possible failure modes to drive low service incident rates and satisfy the customers with great quality products.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Work with V&V and Platform Teams to drive Systems Engineering adoption in the Organization
- Drive development of tools, processes and implementation in the Organization
- Develop methods to drive continuous improvement on Failure analysis and failure management (FRACAS)
- Drive clarity on verification and validation activities, process and flows
- Support Whirlpool Product Development application and alignment to Model Based Systems Engineering concepts
- Drive full traceability from project needs to technical requirements to verification and validation results
- Test to Fail/Test to Learn embedment to replace Test to Pass
- Reduction of Physical testing and application of Simulation Based Designs on Concept and Design verification
- Development of dashboards and KPIs to support project and process continuous improvement
- Drive simplification and clarity on process and drive organization change management for new implementations
- Develop training content to support implementation of verification and validation methods
- Drive requirement quality adoption and decomposition to all levels and linkage to verification and validation artifacts
- Digital thread establishment and alignment for V&V elements
- Support competency development on Systems Engineering skills to entire Organization

Minimum requirements:
- Diploma of graduation in Engineering
- 4+ years Engineering & Verification and Validation experience
- Proven development and drive Test Plan execution experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others
- OPEX, Design for Safety, FMEA and Reliability knowledge
- Fluent English language
- Preferred requirements:
- Black Belt certified
- Proven verification and validation and lab operations experience
- Requirements management knowledge
- Project management skills
- System integration experience
- Exceptional system thinker
- Systems Engineering INCOSE SEP (ASEP/CSEP) certification or similar
