AP team leader

your tasks

  • you will lead, motivate and develop the Accounts Payables Team in Poznan of Invoice Handling, Payments and T&E Specialists (c.a. 10 people)
  • supervise daily work in the AP/T&E team (recording transactions, reconciling accounts, processing payment transactions and payment runs, SOX controls)
  • support continuous process improvement with Global Process Owner Accounting e.g. optimization of processes & workflows, maintaining process documentation
  • participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS)
  • manage escalated issues and provide final approval within the team; escalating pro-actively and as appropriate to ACC leadership
  • people manager, including: staffing & selection, integration, facilitating technical/functional training, measuring individual and team performance, providing feedback, counseling, and coaching as needed
  • participate in the integration of further European legal entities

what we expect

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in accounting or other business disciplines. Masters degree a plus
  • leadership experience and min. 5+ years AP experience in a multi-state, multiple legal entity environment preferred
  • thorough understanding of internal controls
  • ability to interact appropriately and effectively with internal customers and external partners (composure, conflict management, customer focus, negotiating)
  • strong performance orientation
  • precise, careful, and well-structured way of working, good documentation of work
  • proactive with the ability to manage time-dependent critical processes
  • advanced SAP skills
  • strong English skills, German is a plus (but not required)
