Third Party Risk Management Specialist

Your field of responsibility

As a VRM Specialist in one of the Operation teams, you will be responsible for managing a range of activities. It is an outstanding opportunity for you to build up your global network as part of a motivated team. Role includes such responsibilities as conducting risk assessments and re-screenings and also managing risks identified and ensure their timely closure. It is also focused on close work with other risk control groups, e.g. Legal Data Protection Review or Chief Information Security Officer Department.
 
In this role you will be supporting management of the vendor risk framework for the bank and for the ongoing risk monitoring and delivering issue/risk management reports. Role also focus on pro-actively connecting with other teams within SRC and other internal business partners to provide information on existing vendor relationships and risks, and act as an expert guiding them through the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) assessment process.
 
You will be also responsible for existing relationships, health checks, and supplier base optimizations to ultimately ensure the best possible service to the firm. Beside that there will also be tasks focused on ensuring controls over risk framework to identify potential risks as a part of VRM monitoring and reporting. Moreover you will also support the team in delivering high quality & efficient risk assessment services for Credit Suisse by providing the required data, including ad hoc reports.

Your future colleagues

The Vendor Risk Management (VRM) team within the Supplier Risk & Control Management is recruiting to expand its VRM Operations Team. The VRM team is comprised of four teams, including two Operation teams, Audit and Procedure Management and Framework Coordination.
 
The primary objective of the VRM function is to run regulatory driven vendor risk assessment processes and ensure the bank is not exposed to any risk while entering into relationships with third parties. The risk assessment process aims at capturing information on vendors and their products/services to conduct a screening and identify potential risks.
 
Proper assessment and mitigation of vendor risks safeguards Credit Suisse from financial, regulatory, reputational and other business impacts that would be detrimental to the business, clients and shareholders.

Your skills and experience 

  • Willingness to develop knowledge of the Compliance/ Risk Management/ Sourcing areas and are committed to ongoing learning.
  • Experience in Quality Controls and Risk Management would be an asset.
  • Methodical approach, ability to produce the work on time.
  • Results-oriented, dedicated individual with excellent analytical and drafting skills. Ability to clearly formulate thoughts and argumentation.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Positive, can-do approach with ability to build positive relationships and collaborate efficiently across the organization.
  • University degree or equivalent.
