Materials Engineer

For our client - leading automotive company, we are looking candidates for position: Materials Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Analysing products in case of manufacturing issues or durability test failures
• Performing product internal cleanliness analyses following VDA 19 and ISO 16232
• Participating in specifying Material Data Sheets for raw material
• Being key user for International Material Data System (IMDS)
• Preparing test reports
• Preparing specification or ordering fixtures for test stands according to test requirements
• Maintaining laboratory equipment (maintenance, operation, consumables)
• Being involved in development of materials laboratory
• Assuring that all activities are in line with 5S, Quality, Health, and Safety requirements

Requirements

• Master degree metal engineering or material engineering
• 5 years’ experience in automotive, preferred in laboratory and testing
• Experience in analysis and interpretation of test results
• Experience with SEM, stereo, and metallographic microscopes
• Familiar with International Material Data System
• Good command of MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Well-structured and organized with strong logical and analytical thinking
• Willingness to travel in Europe at times
