European Marketing Operations Manager – Batteries

Position Summary
The Associate Manager, EU Batteries has geographic responsibility for the operationalization of global marketing cycle plans for all battery brands (Energizer, Eveready, Varta/ Rayovac, Private Label Brands) and products (alkaline, carbon zinc, specialty, watch, and chargers & rechargeable batteries), adapting as necessary to deliver market needs, whilst aligning with global brand and product strategies and priorities to drive growth and profitability.

Accountabilities
  • Operationalizes the global product cycle plan for all battery products (alkaline, carbon zinc, specialty, watch and chargers & rechargeable battery) ranges across Europe.
  • Work with Sr. Manager, Global Marketing Operations for Battery & Lights, Brand Activation Teams (Global & Market) and Global Category Teams to coordinate coherent asset deployment in support of brand plans
  • Manages product group artworks and graphics in line with Global direction in compliance with local language and legal requirements
  • Tracks, monitors, and reports on the implementation of product cycle plans and competitor reaction across specified areas
  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams (Global Battery Category, Local Marketing Teams, Packaging Center of Excellence- PCOE, Integrated Supply Chain- Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Legal, Regulatory) to ensure timely execution of the cycle plan
  • Utilizes systems and tools effectively and gatekeep processes for seamless collaboration
  • Works effectively and efficiently with a sense of urgency to meet stringent deadline in a quantitative way to exceed stakeholder expectations
  • Manages assigned key projects related to portfolio management
Specific Accountabilities
  • Maintains an evergreen catalogue of products available to markets for specified product groups, avoiding complexity and driving simplification through harmonization of product portfolios and SKUs.
  • Manages the timely and efficient development and introduction of new core sku’s and the efficient withdrawal of obsolete, unprofitable, or unnecessary sku’s.
  • Manages the administration of new packaging development via existing sku management and asset management processes for all new sku’s.
  • Manages development of designs and artwork for new products in line with global designs and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Operations, or similar course
  • Solid track record of working in a product management, category, operations, or packaging artwork development role in consumer goods.
  • Experience in operations, product launches & portfolio management, consumer marketing
  • Experience of cross functional teamwork and working effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Agency and supplier management experience
  • Fluent English with cross-market/multi-cultural exposure and experience within EMEA
  • High level computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated competencies in collaboration, influencing and strategic thinking
