Finance Specialist Statutory
The Corporate Finance team is based in Warsaw and provides a range of finance support services to General Electric legal entities in Poland. Scope of services includes preparation and filing of statutory financial statements, fulfilling additional local obligatory reporting responsibilities, such as statistical reporting, National Bank reporting and various tax-compliance tasks, as well as legal entity governance obligations.

- As part of the Team, you will be responsible for supporting the following key Stat-to-tax processes listed below for our GE Ceoporate segment in Poland. The job is based in Warsaw and would require only occasional travel (<10% of the time), e.g. to support on-site audits or abroad e.g. to attend training.
- Review of US GAAP accounting records, journal entries, source documents and account reconciliations
- Preparing and posting necessary adjustments to US GAAP to ensure alignment with local accounting and tax requirements
- Reconciling differences between Statutory and US GAAP books (prepare G2S walk)
- Performing year-end statutory closing activities
- Calculating current and deferred income tax, cooperation with tax advisors
- Preparing financial statements and back-ups for recorded balances
- Preparing and coordinating documents necessary for the external audit process, ensuring smooth audit
- Supporting financial statement approval and filing
- Preparing statistical, NBP, Intrastat and similar reporting
- Supporting internal and external audits and tax inspections
- Contributing to implementation of external legal changes and requirements projects
- Participation in business change projects from finance side (acquisitions, dispositions, etc.)
- Issuing sales invoices accordingly to business requests and review back-up documentation to support compliance
- Preparation of basic financial data for Transfer Pricing documentation
- Other finance-related tasks
- Higher education - degree in Finance/Accounting /Economics
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance department
- Good knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations
- Good time management skills
- Proactive, open and resilient character
- Fluent English is a must
- Good Excel skills
- Oracle knowledge is an advantage
- EU Work permit
