Opex Controller
Location: Kraków

Opex Controller at TE Energy EMEA will provide consolidated financial and analysis for the operating expenses, responsible for the oversight of OPEX spent and ensure costs controls, and support of the monthly, quarterly & year end closing activities for EMEA region. OPEX controller plays an important role in cost rationalization, helps control and reduce BUs costs without compromising the integrity and quality of operations.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate the budgeting and planning process of OPEX on Cost center level, involving multiple budget holders
  • Participate in the resource planning and analyze and interpret the P&L impact versus Business benefit
  • Pioneering costs saving projects and ensure timely execution and transparency
  • Consolidate, analyse and report actual financial results on monthly basis
  • Run monthly OPEX reports comparison actual versus budget, variance and remaining spend. Review for accuracy and circulate to technical budget holders and EMEA management.
  • Ensure the tie out of the forecast and actuals data between multiple HFM environments on the monthly basis
  • Support preparation of management presentations for quarterly closes, budget and projections of R&D and PM projects and other OPEX items
  • Support R&D and PM teams in budgeting and cost control of samples & testing spend
  • Carry out month-end routines including monthly rechanges between the regions and Cost centers, preparing manual journal entries for accruals, checking the correctness of postings
  • Check the correctness of the posted Invoices and raised purchase requisitions and approve, keeping in mind the cost targets
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis requests from business partners and Controllers
  • Continuous improvement of processes to improve data accuracy and transparency

Our Key Requirements:
  • Academic degree in Business or Economics Sciences or a similar education is the core requirement
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Proactive in solving problems
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging targets
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work remotely from the Headquarters and most of business partners, as well as exploiting IT solutions to facilitate the discussion
