Information Technology Manager, Corporate Operations

In the role of the I.T. Manager you will ensure effective IT service for assigned sites. This position is responsible for managing the delivery of day-to-day Operational support and end-to-end management of Corporate IT services and Supplier Management Team (SIAM) engagement. The site-specific services include applications, hosting, end-user computing, network and security services. This position will also work closely with local Business owners.

Your Role:

Primary responsibilities of this position relate to integrating the day-to-day IT activities to ensure the delivery of services, developing client relationships locally for all assigned sites, and for managing requests for major and minor enhancements.  The individual will manage outcomes and results, improving the overall delivery of IT services, and for enhancing our clients’ use of enabling technologies. The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manage integrated IT services for their assigned sites, working with supplier resources—coach, counsel and mentor suppliers as required to provide an effective integrated resilient service.

  • Work with SIAM for effective Incident and Problem management activities, incident impact and communication, root cause analysis approvals and follow-up actions

  • Owner of site Change Management including Change Approval Board (CAB) meeting and approval processes for urgent / emergency changes

  • Understand overall business plans, for each site and business unit and the role each site has in achieving those objectives

  • Engage IT strategic Project teams to manage business client operational escalations.

  • Establish and maintain regular touch points with wider Aptiv technology owners (Towers) for any IT Ops and Service Management topics

  • Act as the focal point for the execution of queries, audit, and other formal governance processes, including TISAX audit requirements and actions

  • Provide local support for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, coordination and testing activities, as requested

  • Support other IT teams with local insights into service delivery performance, recommendations for continual improvements and execution of agreed actions

  • Support IT financial processes for provisioning of services, including creation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, appropriation request approvals, invoice review and approval, and invoice payment performance

  • Provide responses to site questionnaires for their responsible sites

  • Work with program manager for site requirement validation, solution delivery and service transition and site communication of new initiatives

  • Provide input/direction related to site safety, and access procedures as well as locations within the facilities (i.e. Server rooms, device storage, etc.)

  • Maintain technical and site profile documentation for the assigned sites

  • Act as site contact for Aptiv Security projects and specific security mitigation actions as required by Aptiv Security

  • Support IT Asset management processes for CMDB updates, inventory review and cycle count

  • Assist technical teams with VIP and client complaints.

  • Contribute to the analysis of the metrics for service delivery effectiveness, contract and Client Satisfaction Surveys, and as otherwise appropriate

  • Assist and coordinate IT suppliers and Customer Groups, as needed for facilities related work requests and Projects – for the assigned sites

  • Provide local cultural, physical impacts, business awareness and information to SIAM processes including communication local language translations

  • Work closely with SIAM team to ensure successful delivery of suppliers SLAs and KPIs

  • May perform tasks for any supplier, on behalf Aptiv with limited scope such as physical support for incident recovery

Your Background:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a Service Delivery Operations role

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders both within Aptiv including senior Executive level and with supplier teams

  • Experience of working in a heavily IT reliant manufacturing or Engineering environment

  • Proven track record of successful delivery with Incident and Problem ownership

  • ITIL Foundation certification

  • Flexibility reflective of a 24/7 production environment

  • Excellent English language skills & local language skills where English is not the first language

  • General technical knowledge of IT service delivery for applications, global hosting, end user computing and networking

  • Demonstrated experience in addressing and solving IT and business issues with suppliers and clients
