IBM Technology Garage Leader

Garage Managers are people managers in the pre-sales Garage team who hire, develop, and retain skilled teams who deliver outstanding customer experiences and outcomes enabled by IBM Technology & services. Our clients expect IBM sellers to skillfully combine visionary thinking and bold innovation with practical insights and plausible designs.

In this role you will:

  • Build a diverse and inclusive high performing team made up for Solution Architects, Cloud Engineers, Designers, Data Scientists, Business Transformation people and more
  • Cultivate an agile culture focused on client success, continuous upskilling, and sharing of knowledge
  • Communicate and align pre-sales Garage execution to IBM strategy and priorities
  • Continuously expand essential business, industry, technology, and competitive knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Container Security and Red Hat technologies (OpenShift, Ansible, RHEL, etc.)
  • Drive effective reporting and analytics
  • Provide regular coaching and guidance to team
  • Champions an entrepreneurial and growth mindset
  • Build relationships and co-innovate with other technical teams (Expert labs, SWAT, other Garages) to broaden knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Continuous learning of modern IT Architectures, Cloud Platform, AI, Security, Storage, LinuxOne, Red Hat OpenShift, Cloud Integration and more

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of people management experience
  • At least 5 years of Cloud solutions experience
  • At least 2 years using agile practices
  • At least 8 years in a technical pre-sales role with a track record of success
  • Fluent local language skills, fluent English skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
  • At least 10 years of technical sales, people management experience with incentive-based plans
  • At least 8 years of hybrid cloud and AI experience
  • At least 10 years of technical pre-sales cloud experience with a strong track record of success with large complex clients
