Development Engineer

About the Role:

The team in Katowice, is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Development Engineer to help us to develop smart air quality sensor solutions for indoor & automotive applications, reporting directly to the R&D manager.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

• Firmware development for different projects,
• PCBA design and implementation,
• Identify potential of improvement, propose solutions to bring innovative products to the market,
• Responsible for several projects to ensure the right quality and on time deliveries according to the customer needs.

Your mission:

In this position, your key responsibilities will be:

• Product development:
  • Be the owner of the product development regarding the hardware and software for different type of sensor module,
  • Responsible for the validation on developed design in term of hardware and software by following the design rules and lessons learn internally,
  • Support the problem solving on different issue in different product in collaboration with the different department,
  • Ensure APQP is systematically followed during the development phase,
  • Participate on the supplier selection by offering the minimum and optimal components characteristics in all the new design,
  • Close collaboration with our production line to ensure a design to manufacture in terms of scrap and cost.

• Product management:
  • Be the direct contact with our customers and establish an efficient communication,
  • Ensure the customer satisfaction in term of product quality, timing and performances,
  • Manage the customer change request process in collaboration with all the department,
  • Ensure APQP is systematically followed during the development phase,
  • Help to prepare the product offers: understand the technical specification, the compliance matrix, the product costing, and the project plan.

Desired Skills

• Master Degree in electrical engineering, or Micro-engineering,
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware and software development,
• Experience in CAN and LIN communication,
• Strong experience in C/C++ and hardware design (Altium Designer, Eagle or equivalent),
• Microcontroller environment experience (Microchip, STM, NXP),
• Strong presentation and communication skills,
• Solid analytical skills,
• Fluent in English is a must have,
• Experience with Metal Oxide Gas Sensors would be a significant plus!
• Mechanical knowledge (3d/2d) is an asset,
• Fluent French, and German would be an advantage.
