People Leader for Software Engineers

We are looking for a Line Manager, who will be responsible for a group of 15-20 engineers with diverse skillsets. You do not need to be an expert in your group members’ fields of expertise, but you are expected to develop a high-level understanding of their work over time. Ideally, you have a technical background yourself and are enthusiastic about working in the medical device industry. You have a clear orientation towards people matters and enjoy to help people thrive in an engineering environment without doing technical work yourself. 
 
Person on this position will report to the manager in Sonova Headquarters. 
 

Your tasks

  • Line management for your employees, including performance management, resource planning and allocation, recruiting  
  • Talent development, coaching and mentoring, conflict management  
  • Managing skillset competencies, organize trainings, ensure skill supply to our development teams  
  • Contribution to short-, mid- and long-term Workforce Planning  
  • Conducting workshops for employee feedback and involvement  
  • Contribution to organizational development and continuous improvement of existing processes  
  • Embodiment and strengthening of company culture and values, fostering of employee engagement

Your profile

  • University degree, preferably in engineering or audiology  
  • 7+ years of work experience. Previous experience with people leadership is a must. Experience in an R&D function and in the medical device industry is a strong plus  
  • Strong leadership, management and people development skills  
  • Additional qualifications in coaching are an advantage  
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to assert oneself  
  • Positive, proactive and can-do attitude  
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English, and Polish is a plus
