The “Management Accountant” is an integral and crucial role in the Finance Team within GSA. The role is responsible for supporting a number of business priorities including project accounting, set-up and refine cost distribution and allocation, accounting support of the period-end close, skillful analysis and reporting.

The opportunity

Support of the “Management Accounting” Function that keep our organization on a long term successful. 

Your key responsibilities

  • Support for cost allocations, e.g. maintaining cost center structures and key drivers for cost distributions and allocation cycles
  • Manage and govern accounting and reporting processes, analysis and preparation of accruals and deferrals for intercompany billing
  • Support the inventory reviews for external engagements on a regular base
  • In this role, gaining understanding of the many areas of the company will be essential to stay on top of business issues, in order to contribute to budgeting, planning, content development and program implementation.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Project management training, practical application, business analysis, sales, marketing, business development or relationship management experience is preferred
  • Functional and/or technical experience in supporting global systems (e.g. SAP) including knowledge of data flows, processes and best practices
  • Proven knowledge of software development lifecycle methods, processes, tools and best practices 
  • Documentation, communication and presentation skills that support accurate and concise messaging
  • Experienced and comfortable working with culturally diverse outsourced on/offshore staff for Project work and Production Support (Run) service delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal, client service, communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Operate in a dynamic, fast moving and changing environment 
  • Operate in a global matrix environment 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Must have a business apprenticeship or a bachelor’s degree in Business main focus on Finance, Accounting or Economics 
  • 3 years of experience in internal cost accounting or willing to extend his/her General Ledger Accounting knowledge 
  • Very good English and German language skills
  • Confident using technology (including MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prioritize day-to-day decisions and work assignments, to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle several projects at a time, at various stages of progress
  • Proficient at communicating objectives, and guiding internal clients to successful resolutions
  • Adept at working as part of a larger team; demonstrating a positive work attitude and commitment to excellence
  • Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience
