THE ROLE
We are actively looking for an IT functional architect for the finance functional domain. This functional SME will interface with the IT and finance business teams and our technical delivery and service management team, to ensure that:
a)   The demand from the Finance business is translated into technical recommendation, product roadmaps and domain architectural decisions
b)   Requirements from the Finance business are mapped to our platforms and translated into requirements that can be implemented
c)   Functional impact of issues and incidents (for the Finance space) is clearly understood and workarounds are identified and agreed with the business

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as Finance functional IT expert (e.g. Treasury, Accounting) in IT Wella
• Acts as technical interface between Wella IT organization and our IT delivery and run partners
• Works with Finance community and with BAU IT teams (e.g. IT function, Accenture, Kyriba, Nakisa) to review BAU demands / change requests / process improvements
• Translates Finance functional needs into and operational requirements for changes
• Develops appropriate technical solution/requirements for the IT delivery teams
• Reviews incidents affecting the Finance domain and, where appropriate, help creating workarounds and interventions
• Supports decision making by drafting design options / business cases, change requests and presenting to Design Authority
• Participates in project meetings to gain knowledge of solutions, architecture and overall direction of travel of the Finance IT landscape and provides input based on current demands/requirements
• Communicates actively with appropriate levels across the organization, including IT and Finance business teams
• Works with the Enterprise architects to help define architecture standards, patterns and policies
• Ensure project adherence to the architecture principles
• Proven commercial experience of developing enterprise solutions
• Ability to drive the understanding and adoption of the businesses plans and goals
• Deep understanding of effective migration strategies key architectural components, balancing risk and delivery of benefit
• Strong systems delivery background and understanding of agile methodologies

• Finance business and process experience (e.g. treasury, reporting, tax, accounting, risk management, shared services)
• IT solution design, project management, delivery and sourcing experience
• Working knowledge of existing solutions (e.g. HFM, Kyriba, Nakisa Lease Accounting, TrustWeaver)
• Strong communication ability facing technology and business teams as well as vendors
• Self-starter, ability to work at own initiative
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
• E.g. 5 years experience in project management and/or business analysis
