Global Platform Architect
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the future Cloud platform strategy, roadmaps and architecture aligning the with the business strategies and obtaining senior consensus across the organization
- Collaborate with delivery teams on delivering secure products and services, understand design proposals and evaluate architectures
- Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of enterprise architecture to effectively support the organisation's strategy
- Works with the business and IT stakeholders to develop the platform architecture and roadmaps
- Create and maintain Enterprise Architecture assets on the EA repository
- Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements.
- Creating cloud platform architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies, vision and goals
- Promote an Architecture led approach to all areas of the business
- Engage with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure early involvement of Architecture
- Design patterns and produce guidance working with engineering teams to agree architectural principles
- Develop policy as code, templates, and modules to implement and enforce architectural patterns and guidance
- Assist with developing a flexible, efficient and effective architecture organisation
- Engagement at a strategic level, influencing policy, and setting direction for technical and business change
- Provide support and assist the project team. Helping to prepare architecture briefs, ensuring consistency and alignment with the EA framework
- A broad IT and Enterprise Architecture background, with experience of EA tools
- Development and ownership of EA strategies and roadmaps from a business and technology perspective, including ‘as-is’, ‘to-be’ and transitional states
- Has delivering a series of complex Infrastructure transformation & rationalisation programmes across the enterprise
- Supports a change program or project through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards (including security)
- Evaluate potential risks and defects, analyze specifications, and customize applications for specific customers
- Capable of guiding the decision-making process, explaining trade-offs and making a recommendation based on all the available information

- Solid experience in a role of a global solution/application architect
- Proven experience working in global Enterprise Architecture teams
- Experience with largescale ERP environments i.e. SAP and Oracle
- Fluent in English.
- B.Sc. degree with major in IT, computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies, principles, frameworks and EA modelling tools
- Experience in model-based architecture
- Strong technical experience and understanding of infrastructure and architectures specific to Azure.
- Experience with GitOps managed Kubernetes clusters
- Experience directing work on infrastructure as code and using automated deployment tools such as Bicep, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and GitLab.
- Experience working within an ever-changing, Agile environment
- Results oriented with the ability to maintain focus on objectives in a multi-task demanding environment.
- Good problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
- Significant experience as a Technical, Product, Solution Architect or System Design Authority
- Either have one or more (or willing to achieve) professional IT qualifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, Enterprise and Solution Architecture (BCS),
