Finance Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible for operations and projects within the Finance & Accounting domain at Tagvenue. You will have the opportunity to participate in setting goals and priorities for the Finance Team as well as running the Finance department on a daily basis. This job will give you a chance to use and broaden your knowledge about financial reporting, managerial accounting and VAT returns. Furthermore, you will be able to work with both experienced Founders as well as Tagvenue investors.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Proposing quarterly company financial goals and weekly priorities 
  • Preparing monthly P&L and cash flow reports, and presenting the results to the board of directors 
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT, annual reports and R&D claim 
  • Coordinating processes in both accounts receivable and accounts payable area 
  • Collaborating with both Polish and UK accountants on a regular basis 
  • Overseeing company's payroll

Our recruitment process: 

  1. Interview with the hiring manager and an HR (30-45’)
  2. Finance assignment (15-20’)
  3. Culture fit interview with our CEO (90’)
  4. Demo day (a collaboration session with the finance team which will take 3-4 hours, interview with our CEO) 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Strong interest in finance
  • Accounting/Finance Degree or/and previous experience in the Finance area (bookkeeping/ accounting/ finance)
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in both Polish and English (at least C1) - written and spoken
  • Professional working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting
  • Professional approach to confidentiality
  • Great attention to detail combined with creative thinking - you can proactively propose solutions to different kinds of problems
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure - you prioritize and plan effectively to achieve targets and deadlines
  • Flexible approach to working with different types of tasks (e.g. AR, payroll, financial reporting + being ready to shift the focus onto the new project that emerge from time to time)
  • Passion for learning and self-development (proven by reading books, attending seminars, additional courses and certificates)
  • Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment 
  • Knowledge of the Xero accounting system will be considered as a plus
