Trade Compliance Analyst
Position Summary
A regional role reporting to the Manager, Trade Compliance, the Trade Compliance Analyst is a support role in the Trade Compliance organization. Responsibilities include support of trade compliance activities set by Trade Compliance Leadership and Trade Compliance Management and to support improved compliance across the organization while delivering customer service. The Trade Compliance Analyst supports compliance results through analysis of trade data, knowledge or trade regulations and collaboration with functional leaders and teams across the company.

Accountabilities
- Support trade compliance activities and ensure administrative requirements and data are shared across the organization
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on the trade requirements they ought to know and use in the execution of their business
- Support the business in implementing compliant logistical export/import of goods
- Support organization in the implementation of trade compliance processes, procedures, and tools by embedding trade compliance requirements, as necessary
- Support the organization’s implementation of trade compliance best practices
Specific Accountabilities
- Has responsibility of post-entry audit to ensure compliance with local regulations
- Capture key performance indicators to determine performance by organization, broker, freight forwarder and suppliers
- Responsible for sharing knowledge and ideas to improve key performance areas of trade compliance
- Report to management and team issues of trade compliance, as necessary
- Support the process for ensuring the accuracy of data in enterprise systems Responsible for obtaining and maintaining proper records as required by domestic and international regulations
- Provide Trade Compliance support to the Organization by providing trade compliance analysis and interpretation related to matters in the region with Trade Compliance Management oversight
- Perform all administrative trade compliance requirements for organization and report any significant issues to management
- Has an understanding and ability to analyse; execution of compliance to customs exit and entry requirements and law
- Report and engage a solution to trade compliance inquiries from forwarders. (FTAs, Documentation errors, transits etc.)

Requirements
- Master’s degree and 1 year or bachelor’s degree and 3+ years trade compliance or related experience
- Trade Compliance Experience preferred
- Knowledge of Trade Compliance and Customs management and the effects of trade compliance activities across responsible areas preferred
- Strong interpersonal and business communication skills – both written and verbal
- Knowledge and understanding in International Business Preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment and solve problems
- Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills
- Regulatory knowledge and understanding
- Customs and Compliance experience
- MS Office products knowledge
- Collaborative skills with an ability to gain trust and confidence from peers, leadership, and subordinates
- Sensitivity to cross cultural relationships
- 10%-20% travel may be required
