For one of our international Clients, who is looking to accelerate the pace of productivity within the Warehousing operations in Europe, we are looking for a Candidate for the role of 

Europe Warehouse Management System Lead

Requirements:

  • Provide key warehouse management systems expertise to develop WMS in all European sites in scope as part of our European SAP roll out.
  • Secure process standardization with unique system´s knowledge, being the business side gate keeper for Change requests and customizations.
  • Support the business continuity (knowledge, back up, testing, system updates communications etc)
  • Also define the right functionality per WH tier (depending on size and operations complexity), and look for the best solution for each.
  • Reduce the cost of external consultants for system set up 
  • Promoting full realization of system´s benefits to drive productivity in all sites.
  • Defining the fit-gap analysis between corporate WMS solution and existing BU operational landscape
  • Propose, track and supervise the bridging plan how to reduce the gap in WMS or business prior WMS roll out
  • Processes harmonization to minimizing customization
  • In-house configuration: best use of WMS/best practices + advanced system configurations
  • Site by site deployment of eWM => high level support to the implementation team
  • Must be able to operate autonomously from support group and manager
  • Self-starter, capacity for managing multiple work streams at the same time in multiple sectors/geographies
  • Strong experience on WH proceses, WMS development and implementation, from different vendors (ideally SAP)
  • Must have a strong background in warehouse operations and preferably, project management.
  • Understand current company's network different needs depending of site sizes and complexity in order to recommend the best WMS solution.
  • Understand current WMS capabilities used on different sites in order to minimize change requests, meet WMS budget and support sites to meet the expected productivity.
  • Issues project updates and shares relevant operational and project KPI’s to track project performance and work out any barriers proactively
  • Support LD&T management to create EUROPE  center of excellence to drive down operations cost for warehouses and share best practices across the sector
  • Proper manage of multi stakeholders and “in process” scope to get it to 20/80 rule
  • Follow lean principles in order to balance extended scope and on-time (and on budget) roll out for all implementations
  • Number of change requests done per implementation
  • On time and on budget site roll outs
  • Productivity targets met on time in line with CAR targets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other operations related fields
  • 10+ years of Warehousing experience preferably in consumer products
  • Flexible working style, can easily work with individuals from all backgrounds and cultures. Multi lingual a plus but not a necessity
  • Proven successful Warehouse Management system development and implementation experience
  • Ability to manage a highly dynamic workload.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word required. High degree of independence, autonomy, drive and results orientation.
  • Ability to travel within sector (up to 50% travel)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, aggressive, results-oriented culture.
  • Communication skills to work with all levels of the organization from manufacturing employees to corporate executives – very strong English language skills.
  • Lean six sigma training is a plus
  • Subject matter expert in warehouse management systems and warehouse operations
  • Experience of managing large change project desirable.
  • Experience of leading a warehouse or distribution center
  • Experience in managing roll out of SAP eWM/WM is an advantage
