Investment Banking Regulatory Change Project Manager

A crucial part of our execution and delivery capability is to develop and expand the team of regulatory change professionals who possess strong business analysis and project management skills, understand current financial services regulations and experience in implementing change for the Investment Bank.

As part of the role, you will work with other experienced and knowledgeable Project Managers and Business Analysts. You will develop upon an already successful career to gain exposure to multiple areas of a leading investment bank.

This role will include the following:

  • Local manager for a team of 3 business analysts working on multiple Regulatory Change projects
  • Coordinating with business partners located in our offices in London, New York, and Zurich, including Business, Legal, Compliance, and IT Teams across a wide variety of investment banking products systems and processes
  • Performing Regulatory/Business Impact and gap assessments and interpretation of regulatory text against investment banking business processes in order to produce succinct business requirements documentation including detailed process flows that clearly and precisely articulate current and future states
  • Development of proposals to address complex challenges and presentation of these at key working groups and steering committees to obtain decisions
  • Documentation of requirements traceability from regulation through to test output to evidence end solution fulfils compliance and/or business need
  • Structuring of work packages and developing project plans with realistic timeframes and resourcing to ensure delivery to agreed time and budget
  • Establish and adhere to appropriate project governance including forums to efficiently manage change delivery
  • Track project milestones to agreed timelines, monitor risks, assumptions, issues & dependencies and effect appropriate escalation to clear blockages and drive progress

We are looking for:

  • At least 7 years of proven experience in financial services, including minimum 4 years of experience in project management or business analysis. Experience managing business analysts and/or working on regulatory projects is preferable
  • Experience and technical knowledge of project management and/or business analysis methodologies in practice
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage workload when working to tight deadlines and maintain a clear head when faced with multiple conflicting priorities, including prioritizing work effectively for other team members
  • Evidence of managing varying sized projects, including successful track record of delivery on complex projects and projects in various locations
  • Knowledge of investment banking products, the trade lifecycle including client on-boarding, pre & post trade execution business processes and front-to-back office functions
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; must be capable of interacting positively with senior business management, department heads and vendors
  • Ability to network, collaborate and influence to gain consensus even when faced with differing views
  • Results-oriented individual who is delivery focused and deadline driven
