Software Engineering Director - Site Leader

For our client, a well established global player offering advanced software and digital solutions to retail customers worldwide, we are currently recruiting a candidate with exceptional leadership and technical skills.

The role will be located in Krakow with the flexibility and option for partially remote work.

Job description:

• Lead vision , strategy development and the operational deployment for cloud platform and the applications developed and deployed on it
• Drive improvement of Agile methodology across all of solutions engineering
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, product owners and other key stakeholders to ensure solutions, products and features are technically sound on schedule with a great user experience
• Lead a global engineering team of developers, product owners, scrum masters and first line managers
• Provide exceptional leadership skills
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment of product requirements, product road maps, product development and engineering plans
• Manage site operation in Krakow including team engagement, budget and resource management and hold operational responsibility for projects and team members

Requirements:

• Experience designing, developing and delivering software products as an Engineer
• Experience in Windows, .NET, C#, Visual Studio, Jira, Mobile and Azure development environments is a must
• Previous experience as a Site Leader
• Experience in delivering SaaS solutions
• Extensive experience in leading Agile software development teams
• Significant experience defining and developing complex software applications including both cloud-based SaaS and Windows/Linux client applications
• Demonstrated success in developing new products and optimizing a portfolio of products globally
• Experience of team transformation to a scalable high performance team
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional global teams in multiple time zones
• Excellent communication and general management skills
• Demonstrated complex project management experience
• Have a customer centric mindset and aptitude for engineering excellence
• Ability to travel
