Job Description

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for analysis of financial reports, trends, risks and opportunities. We gather, interpret and evaluate financial information, including past financial data and short- to long-term financial forecasts. FP&A department supports wide range of Motorola Solutions businesses and operations functions across Europe, Africa and North America region. We have several small subteams in FP&A that's why our team is unique - almost each position in our team has a different scope. You will have opportunity to understand how our company operates and improve your analytical skills.
     
    Person in this role will overlook P&L for one of MSI technologies within EMEA region. Analyst on this role will have to quickly understand existing process and address any gaps.

Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the summary of actuals for sales, units, direct cost and gross margin for the technology
  • Prepare and present business bridge in EMEA P&L sign off call explaining variances to actual results
  • Prepare quarterly business outlook for sales and contribution margin
  • Participate in sales team outlook calls to understand impact to quarterly results
  • Create monthly reporting package S&S
  • Ensuring Plan, Forecast, and actual units for technology are loaded and are reasonable
  • Detailed cost decomposition and forecasting of cost base
  • Tracking of revenue actuals, contract approvals and associated deferred revenue
  • Supporting business partners with revenue and cost queries
  • Audit and Sox support
  • Tracking of orders and manual bookings
  • Co-ordinating within Shared Service team in Krakow

Basic Requirements

  • 6+ years of demonstrable finance experience
  • Proficiency in Excel with usage of advanced functions
  • Advanced usage of Tableau would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with Finance and non-Finance staff at various levels
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to make decisions on complex issues using critical evaluation of data and outside-in perspectives
  • Self starter and team player
  • Excellent English (spoken, written)
