GL Accountant

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferably in Accounting, Economy or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Controlling etc. (experience in manufacturing company will be an asset)
• Knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and other MS Office applications
• Fluency in English, (knowledge of other European language would be an asset)
• Proven experience with US GAAP
• Self-motivation and ability to work under own autonomy and as part of a global team

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring month-end processes are completed accurately and timely
• Monitoring all Balance Sheet and P&L transactions to ensure accuracy of postings, correcting where required
• Calculating and performing general ledger posting, preparing recurring accruals, prepayment etc.
• Reconciling Intercompany transactions
• Performing BS accounts reconciliation
• Controlling over accounts payable and receivable
• Supporting Finance Controllers and Finance Directors on daily basis in identifying, defining and implementing process improvements and processes standardization
• Playing an active role in implementing new financial solutions and tools
• Ensuring proper company policies/procedures are being followed
• Being up to date with accounting laws including US GAAP and IFRS
• Communicating with internal and external counterparties on a regular basis, ensuring accurate responses to any queries
