Adas Systems Engineer / Function Owner
Your role:
As an ADAS Systems Engineer/ Function Owner you will be:

overall owner of an assigned feature or sensing function/algorithm for semi-autonomous driving functionalities, such as vehicle or pedestrian detection, road markings and lanes, and other obstacles and information,

Perform systems engineering activities such as: requirements negotiation, system definition and documents writing
-
Be main coordinator of the algorithm development, vehicle test, independent test and validation as well as software engineering competencies
-
Represent Aptiv as the product expert at customer meetings
-
Analyze technical issues related to the given sensing function – verification of issues in the vehicle, driving and testing. Participating in some test drives that meet NCAP and NTSA regulations

Communicate project status to product management and executives
-
Be Single Point of Contact for OEMs for all things related to the assigned sensing feature

Work globally, across the EU countries, Asia and North America – role will involve international and intercontinental travel multiple times a year

Drive the test vehicle to verify that your own function works as expected, verification of bug reports, and analysis of the feature performance

Define validation plans and procedures for the assigned feature or function together with test competencies.

Your background:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering science e.g. electronics, telecommunication, robotics, software engineering, computer science, physics

Ability to communicate technical project aspects with the team in English

Understanding of product and software development process
-
Successful collaboration with team of software development’s engineers, project managers, product owners, system leads and architects.

Excellent 360 degree communication and team work skills

High level of motivation and dedication

Hands-on mentality, independent and with own initiative
Preferred:
-
Knowledge of norms and processes used in automotive ASPICE, ISO 26262

Scrum methodology basic knowledge

Experience as a product owner, systems engineer, software architect
-
Knowledge of Python, Matlab and other technical tools (such as CANoe)
-
Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA, Confluence
