Credit Manager

Your responsibilities:

  • Credit policy: formulate, recommend or update country/cluster credit policy with support from the country credit committee and assure adherence to accepted standards
  • Contract proposals: review major lease, purchase or conditional sales contract proposals to identify and minimize credit risk
  • Credit decision: define and review credit limits for new and existing customers and supports Local Divisions on credit decisions
  • Sales function support: maintain frequent communication with sales function and perform credit reviews with Local Business Units on a regular basis
  • Settlement terms: support Local Divisions in settlement of delinquent accounts when established parameters are not met
  • Collection: guide and support coordination of collections. Participate in strategy planning of debt monitoring and recovery
  • Legal proceedings: represent and manage issues involving bankruptcy and other legal proceedings with support of Local Business Unit or Country Finance Manager
  • Process improvements and standardization: drive initiatives for continuous process improvements in the customer credit management area and develop and implement accepted standards for operations across the managed countries
  • Monitoring: ensure proper reporting, key performance indicators monitoring on regular basis, including annual review process for key customers
  • Results: prepare summaries and materials for presentations (e.g. Corporate Credit Committee; Corporate CFO), provide data analytics and statistics, maintaining internal communications platforms

Your background:

  • Proven work experience as a Credit Manager or above 5 years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis of corporates and financial companies, business / financial analysis, management reporting with a medium to large corporate or bank or rating agency
  • Experience in implementing, managing, monitoring and reporting for large processes and projects
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting landscape and excellent user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Proficiency in business English (intermediate knowledge of one of the Balkan languages an advantage)
  • Interdisciplinary and networked thinking, sound knowledge and enjoying risk analysis of countries – industries (includes changes in regulatory frameworks) and relevant impact on companies - financial counterparties and inherent complexity and dynamics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work towards tight deadlines, demonstrating high degree of expertise and commitment
  • Ability to adapt to flexible timings (if required) and ability to work with team members and supervisors across geographies and with other cultures
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or similar field
