Packaging Development Engineer / Manager

Responsibilities:

• propose innovations or solutions for improving packaging based on marketing studies and purchasing, benchmarking and elements of technology watch, in compliance with product specifications and industrial constraints,
• define functional specifications meeting marketing platforms and requirements regulatory, and the customer,
• select suppliers and qualification of first supplies in collaboration with Purchasing,
• technological and competitive intelligence and analysis, source of proposals for new packaging concepts,
• finalize, edit and update packaging specifications; participate in the management of the history of packaging,
• make recommendations and costing of investments and packaging costs associated with projects and solutions industrial projects to be implemented on the basis of industrial pre-studies, in relation to factories, Marketing, R&D and engineering,
• coordinate progress of packaging projects in collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, technical services and suppliers,
• production of prototypes and models integrating aspects of practicality, ergonomics and aesthetics, qualification and "machinability" of the models selected (conservation, primary and secondary transport),
• support and technical assistance to factories in the transition from pilot to factory, and contribution of its expertise during identified problems related to the packaging of existing brands,
• initial control and transfer to the QA. Factories, packaging developed and recommended for pilot or factory production.

Requirements:

• at least 3 years of experience in packing or general engineering experience with knowledge relating to packing (R&D / Purchasing / Packaging, etc.),
• knowledge of packaging materials, materials physics, packaging equipment and techniques,
• ability to detect and select the information available to ensure a technological and competitive watch on packaging,
• advanced English (verbal and written),
• knowledge of Project Management techniques and methodologies (to plan, monitor and coordinate projects),
• influence and negotiation skills, strong communication,
• attention to detail and analytical capabilities,
• experience in team/project team management.
