Alternative Investment Risk Model Developer

Your field of responsibility

Risk Management Funds Team provides risk management services for liquid and alternative investment funds domiciled in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Ireland. As Alternative Investment Risk Model Developer you will be responsible for development of macroeconomic and financial models for the Alternative Investments area, in particular for financial modelling. You will be in charge of alternative investments assessment by actively using  an agile and dynamic Credit Suisse-proprietary modelling framework with regards to specific analysis and reports. You will be asked to enhance Risk Management & Reporting platform used for calculation of quantitative risk measures and valuation of complex deals. In addition you will closely cooperate with risk analysts team and participate in projects within liquid strategy funds area (market-, credit-, liquidity risk assessment).

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or equivalent post graduate studies (CAIA, CFA, FRM or similar education would be an asset)
  • 3 years of experience in a risk management or investment analytics role within banking and/or capital market industry
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and investment funds, including derivatives.
  • Very good understanding and skills in financial modeling.
  • Programming skills in R
  • Experience in development of internal databases (familiarity with MS Access with VBA, SQL would be an asset)
  • Good quantitative skills, problem solving demeanor and the ability to make well-reasoned business decision
  • Performance oriented, hands-on mentality with ability to work independently
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
